\nMemorial Day, the American holiday observed on the last Monday of May, honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military.\u00a0 Many cities and towns hold parades on Memorial Day in honor of military heroes, as well as current military personnel and members of veterans’ organizations.<\/p>\n

In honor of our veterans and military personnel, Torrid Technologies decided not to just have another Memorial Day sale, but decided to find a way to truly help some of our veterans that are still living.\u00a0 This lead to Torrid Tech’s decision to donate 25% of its Memorial Day weekend sales to the Wounded Warrior Project\u00ae.\u00a0 The Wounded Warrior Project website outlines its vision “To foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.”<\/p>\n

The Wounded Warrior Project’s stated purpose is to raise awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured service members aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of injured service members.\u00a0 Some of the programs it offers to serve warriors and their families include a “Combat Stress Recovery Program”, job training and transition, as well as family support services.<\/p>\n
